THE OPERA
Esta
semana vamos a aprender un poco sobre este gran género musical. Seguro que si te pregunto me dirás que nunca has escuchado nada de ópera, sin embargo, pincha
en estos enlaces para descubrir si has podido escuchar alguna ópera o, al
menos, algunas canciones cantadas con la técnica de los cantantes de ópera:

going to learn what the opera is and the different voices:
An opera is like a theater in which the characters
tell everything singing.
In Italian opera means “musical work”. From the
beginning, in the 17th century in Florence (Italy), the opera appears as a
consequence of the evolution of singing. In the past, going to the opera was
like going to a pop or rock concert, everyone wanted to go.
The singers express the argument through their tuned
voices and they´re accompanied by the orchestra.
The sound of their voices is unique. The vibrations of
their vocal cords produce a different sound.
We classify the voices by their pitch:
Female voices:
- Soprano: high
- Contralto: low
Male voices:
- Tenor: high
- Bass: low
