W.A. Mozart
The great composer
|
This week we are going to know the biography of
Wolfang Amadeus Mozart.
So we can see why he has become one of the greats in
music history:
For this we can see
this video:
I also leave you a
short summary with the most important items of his life:
Mozart was born in 1756 in Salzburg, Austria.
His father Leopold and his mother Anna had two children named Amadeus and Nannerl, and his father taught him the world of music and was his teacher from a young age.
Both brothers showed great qualities for music: Mozart started playing the piano and violin around the age of 4 and composed his first symphony at 12, so Leopold decided to take them on tour through the main imperial courts of Europe, where Amadeus and Nannerl played to great personalities.
Later, when Mozart was 13 years old, he and his father started another trip to Italy to learn the art of writing operas.
Throughout these trips, Mozart fell ill, which later meant that his entire life was in poor health.
During his adolescence and the beginning of his adult years, he decided to take a trip through the big European cities in search of a good job that would allow him to compose what he liked. Unfortunately he couldn’t find this kind of job and he returned to his hometown. There, he was hired as an organist by the Archbishop of Salzburg, with whom he had many differences and he had to move again. He finally decided to settle in Vienna, where he worked as a freelance musician and became the best performer of piano of the time.
Still, he failed again to get a stable job ...
It was then that he achieved enormous success with his first opera written in German: The abduction from the Serrallo.
Meanwhile, Mozart fell in love and married Constanze, with her, he had several children and they were happy.
In Vienna Mozart met great musicians, such as Joseph Haydn and continued composing his own music, such as two of his best-known operas: The Marriage of Figaro and Don Giovanni or Symphony No. 40.
Later, Emperor Joseph II appointed him as a court chamber composer, but this was a position that was not paid very well. Mozart's career was full of waste that became numerous debts.
Shortly before his death, Mozart composed several of the most important works of his career, such as The Magic Flute. However, his health continued to deteriorate during this period.
In December 1791 Mozart passed away, at the early age of 35, leaving one of his great works unfinished: the Requiem.
W.A. Mozart has left us great works: more than 600 compositions including symphonies, concerts, sonatas, operas and other pieces. His music was, is and will be a reference and an example for all the musicians of the world
Previously, we have been listening to some Mozart opera compositions. Now we

For this, it has been good for us to see the movie, but even so, but even so, you will have to look for some more information.
• Who was Salieri and what relationship did he have with Mozart?
• What other important composers did Mozart have a relationship with?
• Did Mozart and Beethoven ever meet?
